Here is the solution: Winch strap and a dedicated roller fairlead.

This hybrid combines the best features of a strap and a synthetic rope. The winch strap withstands short, repetitive movements (e.g., raising and lowering a plow blade), while the 5.5m rope provides the length and capability for longer winching tasks in the terrain.

The winch strap and rope are pre-connected with a total length of 7 meters.

Standard winch ropes or cables are primarily designed for long pulls, not for short-cycle repetitive movements.

This is why they can wear out quickly and often get bunched up on the winch drum, leading to jams or snapping.

A winch strap is a superior solution; it doesn't tangle easily, and the extension rope only deploys after the strap has been fully unrolled.

A standalone strap is often too short, so this combination works perfectly for both plow use and general recovery.

You solve two problems at once: you won't need a separate strap for the plow and a separate rope for off-roading.

Why does this kit include a fairlead?

The best fairlead for a strap is a roller fairlead.

The included fairlead features an oversized bottom roller specifically designed for plowing. This reduces pressure on the strap, meaning it lasts much longer during the constant lifting and lowering of a heavy plow blade.

It is also crucial that the rollers are in good condition. A scratched or damaged roller will quickly ruin a new strap or rope – this is common especially after switching from a steel cable.

If your ATV currently has a synthetic rope and a hawse fairlead, you should buy this kit.

Using a strap with a hawse fairlead during plowing creates high friction and pressure that can wear out the strap prematurely.

Universal fit, but please check the mounting bolt spacing. This fairlead has a center-to-center (C-C) measurement of 125mm!
