A faulty or soot-fouled lambda sensor typically causes running issues or similar problems. You might notice this as rough idling, or issues occurring within a specific RPM range or during acceleration. It also frequently triggers the check engine light.

It’s pretty easy to replace yourself: just disconnect the connector and unscrew the old one. Then put the new one in its place.
