The AMOQ Ballast is an adventure helmet designed especially for winter use — whether you ride an ATV, snowmobile, or a motorcycle that doesn’t shy away from cold-weather adventures. Its heated visor stays clear in both freezing and wet conditions.
The Ballast can be compared to its sibling, the Adaptor, but with one key difference — it’s a modular helmet.
This means the chin section opens fully, making it easier to put on glasses or grab a quick snack without removing the helmet. And when you’re sweating after a rough ride, you can simply flip it open for some fresh air.
Features:
The helmet’s peak can be easily detached, allowing the Ballast to transform in seconds: Adventure helmet (peak and visor attached), flip-up touring helmet (peak removed, visor on), or off-road helmet (peak on, visor off).
The included wiring harness allows you to connect the electric visor directly to your ATV, snowmobile, or motorcycle battery — ensuring clear visibility even in extreme cold.
The package also includes a standard clear visor made of durable material for long-lasting clarity and protection. The amber-tinted inner sun visor improves contrast and helps distinguish terrain variations in snowy conditions.
The shell is made of thermoplastic resin, providing excellent impact resistance while keeping the weight low. The Ballast comes in two shell sizes to ensure a perfect fit for different head shapes and sizes.
The interior lining is made from soft, moisture-wicking polyester, and it’s removable and washable for easy maintenance.
